Located in the highlands of Bali, in the Bangli Regency, Kintamani experiences cooler temperatures than the island’s coastal regions, with average daytime temperatures of around 18°C – 21°C. Night time temperatures range from 12°C to 15°C, and can feel even cooler. This pleasant, fresh climate offers a welcome relief from the heat, humidity and busy pace of the coastal regions. From July thru’ August there is generally a refreshing breeze, which makes it feel colder. The tropical monsoon climate is characterised by half-yearly alternating seasonal wind patterns. High humidity can be expected during the rainy season between mid-October and mid-April, with the most rain recorded between December and February. The dry season, from mid-April until mid-October has the lowest humidity and sunshine is generally plentiful, although you can expect cloudier weather in this mountain setting, making a sweater or jacket advisable in the day time and vital after sunset.
